I’ve been thinking of starting a once monthly series about what I have been LIVING FOR that month. It’ll give me an opportunity to share my favorite items (it can be anything from board games and food, to products and books), and give my readers an opportunity to maybe find something they want to try! So without further ado: here are my August must haves.
1. Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Marker Pens
Okay, these pens have gotten me through my crazy color coded college years. I’ve had them for a couple years now and they still work amazing, even after an INSANE amount of use. I have had people ask me about the pens I use multiple times in the past. They have helped me make countless study guides (ohhhh Consumer Behavior) and helped me make sense of my activities in my super jam-packed confusing planner. They are also great for bible journaling. Ugh. I cannot express how much I love these pens.
2. What Do You Meme?
This card game is SO much fun! We have a lot of game nights at my house and this is one of the faves that everyone wants to play! Think Cards Against Humanity but with Memes instead of the black cards. There are a lot of packs you can get to add on to the main set, so there are essentially hundreds of memes! We’ve spent hours laughing at this game and it’s a household favorite. There is a pack of x-rated cards, but if you are playing with children, you don’t have to include those. All around a fun card game!
3. Maui Moisture Volcanic Ash Body Wash
I’m currently obsessed with this body wash. Not only does it smell AMAZING, but the bottle is also pretty cool as well. The body wash is for rough, dull skin which unfortunately is me. I pair it with lotion after showering so that my skin is completely moisturized and soft for the rest of the day.
4. Shanghai Girls
One of my favorite pastimes is reading so I will probably include a great book I read that month or am reading currently. I just finished the book Shanghai Girls, and let me tell you….. it was soooooo good. It gives a heart wrenching look into what immigration into the United States looked pre/during the World War II era. I love historical books and this one didn’t disappoint. It took many unpredictable turns and leaves you desperately wanting to read the next book in the series. (Which I am going to the library to try and find this afternoon!) (Later: The library had it! So excited!)
5. Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea
I don’t usually watch Animes, but this one is really good! It is about a village where some of the population live under the ocean, but can come up on land for school and other events. If they stay out of the water too long, it’s no bueno. The Anime has an interesting love pentagon (I say pentagon because a triangle is too small). I highly recommend it!
6. Not Your Mother’s Plump For Joy- Body Building Dry Shampoo
I rely on this stuff a lot because my scalp dries out if I wash my hair everyday. It leaves my hair oil-free and smelling great! During the summer, we tend to sweat a lot and it means our hair gets dirty more often, so this is the perfect solution for those moments.
7. Stress Less, Pray More Devotional- Donna K. Maltese
I literally just got this devotion, but it’s already shaping my life in many ways. I will be completely honest with you when I say that I can get stressed out and anxious when it comes to any minor inconvenience. This devotion is showing me bible verses and applying it to life so that I can be constantly reminded that God has me. He has a plan and everything is under control.
Thank you so much for reading! I want to know what is on your must have list currently! Comment below what you are loving right now, or link your blog below!
