This Thanksgiving I have so much to be thankful for. I am constantly reminded every day of God’s goodness in my life and those around me. Even if I wrote for hours and hours, I still wouldn’t be able to get to everything I am thankful for….. but I’m gonna try!
I have such an amazing family. Husband, parents, brother, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, inlaws, EVERYONE. Without them, I would be lost and I definitely would not be where I am today. I’m so thankful for their constant love and support. They have gotten me through the toughest times and I will forever be thankful for that. They constantly remind me that I can do anything I set my mind too, even when I am discouraged to the point of wanting to give up.
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve wanted to give up and just quit school. College has been really difficult for me because of a bunch of reasons, but I am thankful for the opportunity and for the opportunities it will give me in the future. I am thankful for the awesome professors I have and for all the time they spend helping me and teaching me and my classmates about not only our major, but life as well. I’m a senior and only have one semester left of school, so I’m at the point where I look back and I am so proud of all that I have accomplished.
This leads me to my classmates. We have been together the past 3 and a half years and I could not have done it without them. We have laughed together, cried together, and vented to each other so much that we have gotten to know each other so well. I honestly don’t know how I would have gotten through college without these people. They understand all the frustrations and stress because they are going through it too! All I can say is that May 11th 2019 will be a bittersweet day, but I know I will keep up with them after college is over.
Finally being 100% healthy is AWESOME! I feel so much better and I am doing so much better in school. This Thanksgiving is the second Thanksgiving that I have been completely healed, and I will never stop being thankful for that. It was a long time coming, but I am also thankful for the journey. Although it was painful and long, it made me into who I am today. I wouldn’t change that for the world.
For my life
I am so thankful for the life I have. I know it sounds like I’m bragging, but I am surrounded by so many great people and I have seen so many great places that I honestly love my life. Sometimes I may tell you otherwise, but I am so proud of the things I and my loved ones have accomplished. I am ready for whatever awesome thing life presents me with next!
Last, but certainly not least…. GOD
I am so thankful for my faith because it has gotten me through even the darkest of times. Trust me, I have been through the lowest of lows but in those moments, I have seen God’s light as a reminder that everything will be alright, and it has always proven true.
